‘ConnectUs’ (hereafter also ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘the team’, 'the lads', or ‘our’ when possessive meanings exist) provides ‘events-based matching services’ (also ‘Services’ hereafter) by our proprietary algorithm. Therefore, we collect and use user data to improve and provide better services fundamentally powered by the algorithm, and we employ every reasonable effort to protect these data to comply with UK laws and GDPR rules where and when applicable. This page is used to inform paid or unpaid users of ConnectUs’ services (also ‘you’ hereafter) regarding our privacy policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of any sensitive Personal Information of the users.
Information Collection and Use
We might contact you through email for core functionalities to provide our Services, which otherwise becomes impossible, such as account registration verification.
Data Retention Policy
Your data, as a user, will be stored on our servers. You can request to delete your account at any time. All personal identifying information will be deleted upon account closure or after 5 years of inactivity on our services.
We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information, thus we strive, whenever commercially possible and reasonable, to protect it. However, we would like to remind you that, to our reasonable knowledge, no method of transmission over the internet or using technology, or methods of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and therefore realistically we could not guarantee any absolute security of information and our ability to bear subsequent consequences, after our every reasonable attempt to do so employed.

We might share your personal information to third-party products provided by their respective companies and/or individuals, or third-party authorities with legal rights to demand these, due to the following reasons:

2. To provide the Services on our behalf;

5. To assist us in analysing how our Services is used.
We would like to inform users of our Services that these third-parties might have access to your Personal Information relevant to their provision of services to perform the aforementioned purposes. However, whenever reasonable and applicable, we ensure that these third-parties satisfy their obligations not to disclose or use the information for purposes other than outlined above, yet we could assume no responsibility over any of these third-parties’ behaviours which might compromise your personal information, after every reasonable step are taken from us to minimise/mitigate these risks.

Personal Information of Children and Minors
These Services was not intended to be provided to anyone under the age of 18, and so is not elsewhere in this T&Cs document apart from this section. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children or minors under 18. In the case where we discover that a child or minor under 18 has provided us with his/her personal information, we would at the next commercially reasonable instance delete this from our storage systems, if there appears to the team no otherwise any paramount reasons such as legal requirements to prevent us from doing so. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary steps to address that.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
We may make changes to this Agreement and to the Service from time to time. We may do this for a variety of reasons including to reflect changes in or requirements of the law, new features, or changes in business practices. The most recent version of this Agreement will be posted on Terms and Conditions section of the ConnectUs website, and you should regularly check for the most recent version. The most recent version is the version that applies. If the changes include material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you in advance of the changes by reasonable means, which could include notification through the Service or via email. If you continue to use the Service after the changes become effective, then you agree to the revised Agreement. You agree that this Agreement shall supersede any prior agreements (except as specifically stated herein), and shall govern your entire relationship with Connectus, including but not limited to events, agreements, and conduct preceding your acceptance of this Agreement.
